I’m Shawna Keller, and I have been teaching Bible studies most of my life. It is my passion. Early in my personal study, I found that if I could tie spiritual truths to simple pictures or stories or clever little sayings, I was much more likely to take God’s truth off of my lap (where I am simply reading and informed) and into my day (where my life is impacted). So, I have spent much of my adult life tying spiritual truths to everyday life experiences and memorable little sayings.
As I began to pass truth onto my children, I found that the same thing was true of them. The Bible studies that I taught echoed the same insight. In order to walk out truth, we need our truth to be pocket-sized. We need it to be visual. And we need a consistent and constant deposit. Oh, and by the way, we need it to be an enjoyable experience! We rarely maintain what we don’t enjoy. My intense desire is to teach, encourage, motivate, inspire – and to do so in a pleasant way.
My husband, Rob, and I call Nashville, Tennessee our home. We love it. And we are the very proud parents of Alyssa, Lindsey, and Jake.
Speaking & Teaching
You may notice that our class offering is a little light right now! This Fall, I am busy writing and developing a new devotional and study, Hope and a Prayer. I am very excited about where God has been leading me. The study will focus on the faithfulness of our God and the promises that He has given us as His children.
I will be teaching the Relay of Truth study this Fall at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky. Beginning September 6th, Wednesday evenings 7-8:30 and concluding November 1st. If you live in the area, we would love for you to join us!
